About Calluster

History

The Calluster Community was started by Luka and Maxx in March 2008 to gather people for fair and friendly “Internet based Simulated Racing”. The point was, we wanted not only simracing and stuff, but rather a whole community, as in a big happy family, to build up some kind of social behavior in here as well. We spend time on track racing, but we also spend time in the garage tweaking. We drop post in our forums, discuss how we can make the cars run faster and we make movies of well done races etc. We host servers, arrange FunRaces, championships and we produce and publish statistics about our races and more of whatever is needed to enjoy this ‘hobby’.

Our Mission and The Calluster Atmosphere

The goal with the Calluster SimRacing Community is to arrange simraces and connect people who enjoy this from all around the world. Together and fun are key concepts at this place. We administrate, arrange, race, burn tires, win, fight, crash, slide and get overtaken together and with big smiles on our faces. Many times we are like little kids playing with their toys - except for that our toys are somewhat more complex and a lot faster. Argue is of course non-existent and everybody is welcome to join us and have fun.

Calluster Workaholics

Beside Luka and Maxx there are other guys helping to keep Calluster in the immediate frontline of simracing development. Alvaro, Ampicilin, BlackMagic, Bob, Chris, Frunz, Kiro, Nabaza, Roger, Stef, Taxi and many more. Our idea is to make this a brotherhood where we all work hard to help each outer out for our big aim, mentioned above.

The Simulator Choices

Currently rFactor draws the most people here. We’ve tried with bot Race07, GTRE and GTR2, but we saw very little interest over several months so we took them away until we get better ideas. We will put up other servers as soon as we have enough interest in them. It’s all up to our members to call for it. rFactor2 will definitely have a couple of dedicated server first release day. netKar Pro FunRaces have started and a league is to follow soon. Furthermore, our piracy policy is to NOT run any kinda “un-real” stuff whatsoever, and we will of course do our best in this matter. However, we stay reserved for not noting details about O.P.P. and hence we appreciate your help if you see something funny going on. But remember, the color red is not a Ferrari TradeMark.

Chronic Beta

The Calluster Community is a ‘chronic beta’ due to it’s chronic evolution. Please have patience if some function is missing. We are probably already working on implementing it. We are fairly democratic and are grateful to listen to our members for their suggestions. We use polls to evaluate if we should do a change or not. Whenever you have something in mind - go to the forum and enter the suggestions-thread and post your ideas or wishes there. From there we pick’em up and start developing what we think we can use.

Calluster Growth

As these communities tend to grow quickly - we are always looking for more resources to join the Calluster Group. If you are a graphic artist, web programmer, designer or simply just full of energy and ideas - don’t hesitate to contact us for further cooperation. Otherwise - if you are a racer - feel free to join us for a FunRace or enter the forum to inform yourself about what races we’ve scheduled.
